Born in Germany, Sabine met her Canadian husband Scott sixteen years ago in the United Arab Emirates. She was working as a flight attendant at the time. She accompanied Scott from city to city, reaching Moose Jaw, SK 7 years ago. He is presently a flight instructor at 15 Wing. Scott and Sabine have three beautiful daughters.
During the last seven years Sabine worked with different methods to create unique pieces. Her work includes mosaics, stepping stones and stained glass. Her interest has shifted more into glass fusing because of the magic of the kiln. She took a wide variety of glass fusing classes; the most interesting ones were in California. Over time she specialized in using dichroic glass go to create one of a king eye-catching jewellery and art vessels. Her work can be found in local galleries and art fairs in Saskatchewan like Bazaart, Wintergreen and Parkart.
Sabine is a juried member of the Saskatchewan Craft Council and works in her own studio located in Moose Jaw, besides teaching art classes at the 15 Wing military base. You can find her online at her website: http://myfireworx.ca/
