Beth started weaving in 1991 at Crete, Nebraska and learned willow weaving in Saskatchewan. She is largely self-taught and enjoys creating her own designs. Her work in watercolour and clay influenced the development of her weavings.
Beth has been teaching basketry for over 10 years. Her baskets have been exhibited in Moose Jaw at Yvette Moore’s Gallery, Creative Photographics, the Moose Jaw Museum and Art Gallery, and Lumsden’s Letterbox Gallery. In 2007 she was selected as one of three artists to represent Moose Jaw in Ottawa on July 1, celebrating Moose Jaw as one of the Cultural Capitals of Canada. In 2011 Beth was juried into the Saskatchewan Craft Council. Her weavings are in collections across Canada.
