The Highway 1 Studio Tour is a self-guided tour held annually in the last half of September. It gives art lovers a chance to access some great art and craft as well as giving them the opportunity to see artists at work in their own creative spaces fostering a better understanding of how art is made.

The Tour was begun in 2009 by a group of artists looking for a different kind of exposure and new opportunities. They are linked by their love of art and their location along the Trans-Canada Highway in Southwest Saskatchewan. As professional artists, the participants all agree that nurturing the arts and teaching people about the process of art is as important as selling their work.

The Studio Tour gives access to excellent quality art and handcraft in the region and allows people to meet the makers and learn about their work in a relaxed yet personal way.

Take the time to take the drive – the rewards are incredible.
